If your diagnosis is acid reflux.
The discomfort inherent in acid reflux is greatly alleviated by lifestyle changes.
It is recommended to:
- Maintain a healthy weight and in case of obesity, lose as much extra weight as possible;
- Quit smoking;
- You are likely to suffer from heartburn while sleeping. The bed head should be elevated so that the symptoms do not bother you;
- Do not go to bed immediately after eating. Sleep is recommended 3-4 hours after the last meal;
- Chew food well;
- Eat slowly, quietly;
- Avoid drinks and foods that cause acid reflux. Remove from the ration: tomato sauce, alcohol, chocolate, caffeine, mint, garlic, onion;
- Do not wear clothing that fits snugly around the waist.
