How to recognize a circulatory disorder?
Through the circulatory system, the entire body, and therefore many organs, is supplied with blood, oxygen and nutrients.
When the heart, veins, arteries, capillaries and other blood vessels are healthy, the cell absorbs everything physiologically, without any obstacles.
The cause of poor circulation is the accumulation of plaque, a thrombus or narrowing of the blood vessel. Exercise and a healthy diet are the first aid for restoring impaired circulation.
Poor circulation is expected in people over 40, overweight people, people who lead an inactive lifestyle, and people with a history of diabetes.
Symptoms of poor blood circulation include:
- Muscle pain and weakness when walking;
- Tingling sensation on the skin;
- Pale or bluish skin;
- Cold extremities;
- Numbness;
- Chest pain;
- Swelling;
- Bulging veins.
Contributing factors include:
- Smoking;
- High blood pressure;
- Atherosclerosis;
- Diabetes;
- Deep vein thrombosis;
- Pulmonary embolism;
- Peripheral artery disease;
- Varicose veins;
- Obesity;
- Raynaud's disease.
