Mtskheta - old capital of Georgia will be the first stop of the tour. The city of Mtskheta is a place associated with the formation of the statehood of the Georgian nation. The history of Christianity begins in Mtskheta. The greatest holiness of Christendom is in Mtskheta - the robe of the Lord. Let's look at the city that has always been rich with its architectural monuments and archaeological findings. More than 200 architectural monuments in the city and adjoining areas are listed in the UNESCO cultural heritage list since 1994.
Jvari Monastery - Jvari Monastery is one of the most important monuments of Georgian architecture on the top of the rocky mountain to the tributary Mtskheta Mtkvari and the Aragvi River. You will see the Georgian Christian monastery of the 6th century, which is included in the list of world heritage sites. The complex consists of small excavations, the main temple, the fence, the ruins of the tower and other structures.
Svetitskhoveli - After the Jvari Monastery we visit Svetitskhoveli, whose current structure is built in the XI century and has a special place among historians of Mtskheta. Saguramo – Guramishvili Wine-Cellar - One of the most prominent examples of cellar in Georgia – Tadeoz Guramishvili Wine-Cellar, located in the village of Saguramo in the eastern part of Georgia, is a unique monument. When we leave Svetitskhoveli, we will take you to a place where you can see beautiful places of decoration, ornaments, magnificent and great beauty. There are currently 17 (seventeen) large pitcher and 3 (three) wine houses in the cellar. Visit Guramishvili Cellar, you will learn about one of the most remarkable and unique examples of Georgian cultural winemaking.
Ilia Chavchavadze Saguramo State Museum - The museum of the famous Georgian writer, publicist and public figure Ilia Chavchavadze Saguramo State Museum was founded in 1951. Every year thousands of visitors visit the museum, where various cultural and educational events and poetry evenings are held. There is a monument of Ilia Chavchavadze, which we will be able to visit during the tour.
Uplistsikhe - In Georgia there are only three rock climbing monuments, one of which we see at the end of the tour - Uplistsikhe Museum-Preserve. The museum-preserve includes the rocks of the cliffs, temples, palaces, ritual caves, decorated rocky halls, bread bakeries, secret tunnels, and fragments of the ancient three-moon basilica, in the central part of the city, in the center of the pagan temple (early times), the medieval houses And the halls.
