How to protect the baby's diaper area?

Diaper rash and prevention.

Diaper rash is a common form of inflamed skin (dermatitis) that appears as a patchwork of bright red skin on your baby's bottom.

The main symptom is red, painful spots that appear in the area intended for diapers and against which the little person is irritated, itching. The baby feels discomfort and cries when you change the diaper or touch the rash.

It is recommended:

  •  Change diapers often.
  •  Rinse your baby's bottom with warm water as part of each diaper change.
  •  Gently pat the skin dry with a clean towel or let it air dry.
  •  Don't overtighten diapers.
  •  Give your baby's bottom more time without a diaper.
  •  Consider using ointment regularly, if necessary.
  •  After changing diapers, wash your hands well. Hand-washing can prevent the spread of bacteria or yeast to other parts of your baby's body, to you or to other children.
