What Causes Foot Pain?
Foot pain is a common symptom. You may experience a muscle spasm or a sharp, stabbing pain in your leg.
The course of treatment depends on the underlying cause. Mild discomfort can be managed at home, but severe pain, especially if it occurs after an injury, requires medical attention. Foot pain is often worse at night. Some patients experience a dull ache.
Pain occurs in the following areas:
- Bone;
- Muscle;
- Tendon;
- Joint;
- Nerve;
- Blood vessel;
- Soft tissue;
- Joint.
In a large percentage of clinical cases, the causes are:
- Muscle spasm;
- Trauma;
- Circulatory disorders;
