Allergic reaction to hair dye

Hair dye contains many ingredients that irritate the scalp and cause allergic reactions.

Symptoms may be mild or severe. The best way to prevent an allergic reaction is natural paint.

In itself, sensitivity and allergy differ from each other.

If you are hypersensitive to dyes or complain of contact dermatitis symptoms (burning sensation, dry skin, itching or redness) due to dyeing.

In the case of an allergic reaction, symptoms may appear immediately or within 48 hours.

Symptoms of an allergic reaction due to hair dyeing are:

  • Burning sensation in scalp, face or neck area;
  • Old people;
  • Scalp and face itching, swelling;
  • Swelling of limbs, eyelids, lips;
  • Red rash all over the body.

Rarely, but sometimes, anaphylaxis occurs - this is a life-threatening reaction that requires immediate medical attention.

Call 911 for the following symptoms:

  • Swelling of the skin, burning sensation, rash;
  • Swelling of the tongue and throat;
  • Shortness of breath;
  • Nausea;
  • Vomiting;
  • Loss of consciousness.
