What is myositis?
Myositis is a disease due to which the immune system attacks and damages the muscles; Chronic inflammation is formed as a result.
Myositis mainly affects the muscles of the following organs:
- Leg and hip;
- Shoulder and arm;
- Abdomen and spine.
There are several forms of myositis and each type has its own characteristic symptoms.
Experts do not know the exact cause of the disease - there is still no cure for muscle inflammation, although it is possible to treat it symptomatically. In some clinical cases, exercise, physical activity is effective.
The following symptoms are characteristic of muscle inflammation:
- Muscle weakness;
- Joint and muscle pain;
- Tiredness
- Swelling;
- Difficulty breathing or swallowing;
- Arrhythmia.
During a symptomatic episode, the patient finds it difficult to move and perform activities that make up the daily rhythm, gets tired easily, has a feeling that he cannot control his limbs.
