How to avoid alcohol intoxication?

Alcohol intoxication is one of the most common forms of poisoning.

Due to alcohol poisoning, it is quite possible to develop acute complications:

  • Suffocation (due to liquid);
  • Cessation of breathing;
  • Loss of a large amount of fluid;
  • Attack;
  • Hypothermia;
  • Irregular heartbeat;
  • Brain damage;
  • Unfortunately, sometimes people die.

It is possible to reduce the risk of intoxication by certain methods.

For prevention, we recommend:

  • Do not mix different types of alcohol together (for example, you cannot drink wine first and then continue the fun with vodka or brandy);
  • Take alcohol in moderation, listen to your body;
  • It is not allowed to drink alcohol if you have taken medicine;
  • Do not drink on an empty stomach;
  • Provide information about the harmfulness of alcohol to teenagers - people of this age are in the risk group;
  • Keep alcohol or any products containing alcohol away from children - keep it in a place where small people cannot find it;
  • Any unusual symptoms should be noticed and if you feel unwell, tell the people around you, consult a doctor in time.
