Alcohol intoxication is one of the most common forms of poisoning.
Due to alcohol poisoning, it is quite possible to develop acute complications:
- Suffocation (due to liquid);
- Cessation of breathing;
- Loss of a large amount of fluid;
- Attack;
- Hypothermia;
- Irregular heartbeat;
- Brain damage;
- Unfortunately, sometimes people die.
It is possible to reduce the risk of intoxication by certain methods.
For prevention, we recommend:
- Do not mix different types of alcohol together (for example, you cannot drink wine first and then continue the fun with vodka or brandy);
- Take alcohol in moderation, listen to your body;
- It is not allowed to drink alcohol if you have taken medicine;
- Do not drink on an empty stomach;
- Provide information about the harmfulness of alcohol to teenagers - people of this age are in the risk group;
- Keep alcohol or any products containing alcohol away from children - keep it in a place where small people cannot find it;
- Any unusual symptoms should be noticed and if you feel unwell, tell the people around you, consult a doctor in time.
