If you are experiencing these symptoms, you likely have elevated cortisol levels

What is cortisol?

Cortisol is a steroid hormone and is very important for health, however, excessive doses are harmful and cause unpleasant symptoms.

Cortisol is essential for metabolizing proteins, fats, and carbohydrates.

This hormone affects the amount of glucose in the blood, participates in the normalization of blood pressure, regulates the immune system, helps the body adequately cope with stressful situations.

Cortisol significantly reduces the signs characteristic of the inflammatory process, has a positive effect on memory.

Over time, rarely and for a short time, almost all people have elevated cortisol levels in their bodies, and this is a natural reaction, because it is by producing this hormone that you are able to respond to danger. However, if the body chronically produces excessive amounts of cortisol, this is a serious condition and a doctor's consultation is necessary.

Appropriate laboratory analysis will determine the underlying cause, therefore, the cortisol level will be normalized.
