What causes burning sensation?
A burning pain is often related to nerve problems. However, there are many other possible causes. Injuries, infections, and autoimmune disorders have the potential to trigger nerve pain, and in some cases cause nerve damage.
Many medical conditions that cause a burning sensation have no cure, but treatments are helpful in controlling the pain.
As already mentioned, in a large percentage of clinical cases, the burning sensation is a sign of damage or dysfunction of the nervous system. These systems include the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system.
