What is acne?
Acne is a chronic, inflammatory skin condition that causes spots and pimples. In acne, the hair follicles are clogged with fat, dead skin cells.
Acne mostly appears on the face, shoulders, back, neck, chest, and upper arms.
Years ago it was thought that this mainly affects teenagers, however now the age limit has been erased - in too many clinical cases the patient is an adult.
Avoid mechanical irritation of the bump especially on the face. Due to mechanical irritation, the condition becomes more acute, therefore, the healing process becomes more difficult, the risk of scarring increases significantly.
Common causes of acne include:
- Hormonal changes
- Emotional stress
- Greasy cosmetics
- Side effects of some medications
- Menstruation
- Overproduction of fat in the body;
- Bacteria;
- Hormone androgen activity;
