Remember a few simple recommendations.
Summer is a favorite season of many people, but we have to be especially careful at this time of year - we have to avoid reptiles.
It is advisable to know about the recommendation and, if necessary, provide first aid to the victim in a timely manner.
Please note, the patient must be urgently placed in the emergency department of a nearby clinic, in some clinical cases every minute is crucial.
The first thing to do when you are bitten by a snake is to call an ambulance - you need to take the patient to the clinic.
First aid
It is recommended:
- Drink plenty of fluids.
- Remain still and calm to help slow the spread of venom.
- Remove jewelry and tight clothing before you start to swell.
- Clean the wound with soap and water. Cover it with a clean, dry dressing.
- Take anti-allergy and steroid medications. In case of severe pain, take a painkiller.
Caution
- Don't use a tourniquet or apply ice.
- Don't cut the wound or attempt to remove the venom.
- Burn site of the bite;
- Treatment of the bite with iodine, brilliant green or alcohol (any aseptic substance);
- Don't drink caffeine or alcohol, which could speed your body's absorption of venom.
Keep in mind, snake bites on the neck and face are especially dangerous.
