Vaginal acne is a common symptom, nothing strange.
Many people think that acne is a problem for the face and back, therefore, it is less common in the vaginal area - it is because of this attitude that you are likely to feel unpleasant and panic when you see a pimple.
As a rule, the cause is irritation from shaving, clogged pores or ingrown hairs - in such clinical cases, the pimple will disappear within a week; apply only ointment and observe local hygiene (it is not allowed to squeeze the pimple).
For the prevention of genital acne, it is recommended:
- Do not wear underwear that is too tight on the skin;
- Underwear should be made of cotton or a fabric that allows the skin to breathe;
- Wash the genital area every day and use mild soap;
- You should practice safe sex;
- You should take off sweaty clothes;
- If the vaginal area is irritated, avoid shaving;
- Change your tampon or pad regularly during menstruation.
Be sure to consult a gynecologist if you have the following symptoms:
- Genital pimples appear regularly;
- The pimple is painful or large;
- You suspect that the pimple in the vaginal area is not acne and you have other types of symptoms.
