Ovulation Disorders

Ovulation Disorders

What You Should Know About the Causes?

Ovulation disorders are the most common cause of infertility in women. They are caused by problems with the regulation of reproductive hormones.

As a result, the following conditions occur:

  • Hypothyroidism;
  • Polycystic ovary syndrome;
  • Premature ovulation;
  • Excess prolactin in the body.

Symptoms vary - in some clinical cases, infertility is the only sign.

Other symptoms may also appear, namely:

  • Irregular cycle;
  • Change in personality;
  • Change in weight.

The goal of the treatment course is to improve the frequency and quality of ovulation.

Oral or injectable fertility drugs may be prescribed.

Lifestyle changes are helpful - maintaining a healthy body weight, exercising regularly, and taking stress-reducing measures.

When hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism is diagnosed, thyroid hormone replacement therapy is prescribed.
