When to consult a doctor?

In a large percentage of clinical cases, the management of injuries received in the oral cavity is subject to treatment at home. However, sometimes the trauma, therefore, the symptoms are much more serious and the little person needs to be hospitalized.

Be sure to consult a pediatrician in case of the following signs:

  • Heavy bleeding that does not stop after 10 minutes;
  • Notice a deep or wide wound;
  • There is dirt in the wound;
  • It is also visually noticeable that the trauma has damaged much deeper tissues;
  • The child was injured by a dirty or rusty object;
  • The wound is caused by an animal or human bite;
  • You suspect bone damage;
  • The child broke a tooth during the injury;
  • Signs of infection were detected.
