What is freckle
A freckle is a small, red or brown spot on the skin. Mostly, it appears in an area of the body that is exposed to sunlight (face, back, upper chest area, hands, neck).
It's usually harmless, but keep an eye on it and see a dermatologist if you notice any unusual changes.
For freckle whitening, topical acids, chemical peels, laser or cryotherapy are provided - the treatment method should be selected by the doctor based on the diagnosis.
Freckles are common and usually do not cause health problems - they often appear in the summer.
The risk of freckles is much higher in people with light skin, blondes and redheads. In brunettes, it is manifested by dark brown spots.
Most often it appears due to the sun, although genetic predisposition and pigmented xeroderma (a rare disease due to which a person has increased sensitivity to the sun) are sometimes the cause.
The best method of prevention is to avoid the afternoon sun, apply sunscreen, cover the body as much as possible with clothes.
