When the brain is tired.

After intense physical activity, you feel drained and exhausted, is that right? Exactly the same thing happens to the brain during mental exhaustion.

You are at risk of mental exhaustion if:

  • You work or study for several hours without a break;
  • You take too much responsibility on yourself, therefore, you have to deal with these issues every day;
  • You live with mental health symptoms;
  • Every day you spend a lot of mental energy thinking about problems, you don't shy away from stressors or stressful environments.

Due to mental fatigue, it is difficult for a person to solve problems, think adequately, manage emotions, and analyze information.

The following symptoms are characteristic of mental exhaustion:

  • Depressed mood;
  • Anxiety;
  • Pessimism, cynicism;
  • Irritation;
  • Anger;
  • Problem of managing emotions;
  • Feeling of fear;
  • Motivation and productivity decrease;
  • The reaction is reduced;
  • Concentration and memory problems.

Mental exhaustion leaves a negative mark on physical health as well, in particular, it is manifested by the following symptoms:

  • Head and body pain;
  • Stomach problems;
  • Insomnia;
  • Changes in appetite and weight;
  • Frequent colds;
  • Common weakness.
