When should you consult a doctor?
Do I need to consult a doctor? Many people are interested in the answer to this question. This type of question becomes especially relevant when a person has a symptom, for example, a prolonged cough, but does not understand whether it is alarming or not.
Many doctors think that a practically healthy person who does not have a history of illness and does not suffer from symptoms should be examined at least once a year, and certain tests should be performed. However, the reason for going to the clinic is not only acute symptoms or any case/incident, and even a seemingly insignificant sign is sometimes a prerequisite for a serious disease.
Remember, many diseases are much easier to manage and treat in the early stages than as they progress.
You should consult a doctor in case of the following symptoms:
- The symptoms characteristic of a cold have worsened, they did not subside in time, they remind you again;
- You have suddenly changed the action of the stomach, the ability to urinate;
- You are losing weight and you cannot relate it to anything;
- You have a fever for more than 3 days;
- Shortness of breath;
- Pain in the pelvis, chest, abdomen;
- Change your mood;
- You have developed symptoms after taking medication or any medical procedure;
- You suspect a concussion;
- You see bright flashes or spots.
