Sticky skin

Sticky skin

What does sticky skin mean?

This term expresses the condition when the skin acquires a wet effect against the background of sweat.

The cause of sweating may be high air temperature, nervousness - in both cases, the effect of sticky skin is formed against the background of natural factors. However, if this symptom often bothers you and you do not associate it with environmental factors, the cause is likely to be more serious, that is, adequate diagnosis and treatment are recommended.

In a large percentage of clinical cases, the cause of sticky skin, as already mentioned, is heat. Sweating is part of the body's complex heat regulation system. A large percentage of water is kept by the skin - when the heat activates the sweat glands, a moisturizing effect is released on the surface; As a result, the overheated body begins to cool down and a wet effect remains on the skin.

However, sometimes this mechanism does not work properly and a person sweats or has sticky skin even when it is not hot.

In such cases, the cause of sticky skin may be the following diseases:

  • Hyperhidrosis (corresponding symptoms are attached);
  • Flames (during menopause);
  • Fever (body temperature);
  • Overactive thyroid gland (corresponding symptoms are attached);
  • Heart attack (corresponding symptoms are attached).
