Rhinorrhea is a condition where excess fluid is released from the nose.
The cause of discharge from the nose may be:
- Cold and flu;
- Crying;
- Cold weather;
- Infection;
- Allergic rhinitis;
- Non-allergic rhinitis;
- Swelling of the nasal cavity;
- Enlarged adenoids;
- Nasal polyps;
- Foreign body in the nose;
- Nasal cyst or tumor;
- Choanal atresia and others.
Often, in a large percentage of clinical cases, measles resolves on its own. However, if you have a runny nose for more than 10 days, it is likely that the cause of the runny nose is some condition (which we have already discussed in the previous paragraph). In addition, if you have high fever chronically, you should immediately consult a doctor.
When discharge from the nose takes a chronic form, the risk of a number of complications increases, for example, the quality of sleep is disturbed, the rhythm of the patient's life decreases, a more severe infection may develop, and hearing is damaged.
