How to recognize chronic inflammation?
In response to the invasion of a foreign body in the body, the immune system switches to defense mode and produces inflammatory cells; These cells start fighting against bacteria and try to heal and restore the damaged tissue. Chronic inflammation is a condition where these cells are produced even when you are not sick and there is no trauma/damage to your body.
There are two forms of inflammation:
- Acute inflammation: This is a reaction to a sudden injury to the body, such as cutting a finger. In such a case, the body uses defense cells to heal the injury;
- Chronic inflammation: The body continues to release cells even when the body is not in danger.
Symptoms characteristic of chronic inflammation are:
- Stomach-ache;
- Chest pain
- Tiredness
- Temperature
- Joint pain and stiffness;
- Mouth ulcer;
- Skin rash.
Chronic inflammation is a dangerous condition, because the pathological process is considered a prerequisite for the development of many diseases.
Against the backdrop of chronic inflammation, the risk of the following diseases increases significantly:
- Alzheimer's disease;
- Asthma;
- Cancer
- Heart disease
- Rheumatoid arthritis;
- Diabetes type 2.
