Sea sickness

Sea sickness

What is seasickness?

If you've ever experienced motion sickness from a car or plane ride, or experienced discomfort from an amusement park ride, you're at high risk for seasickness.

Sea sickness appears against the background of the reaction in the inner ear (the reaction occurs during the movement of a ship or boat) and manifests itself as nausea, vomiting, dizziness. Symptoms may appear due to the smell characteristic of sea transport (fish, diesel).

The symptoms of seasickness will disappear as soon as the body gets used to the movement of the ship.

To relieve symptoms, it is recommended to:

  • Take liquid (water, apple or carrot juice);
  • Do not drink milk and coffee;
  • Eat soup;
  • Move as much as possible;
  • You should breathe fresh air, often go out on deck.
