Rabies is one of the most dangerous infectious diseases.

The time it takes for symptoms to appear depends on how long it takes for the virus to travel from the wound to the brain - the brain is the organ where symptoms appear.
Several factors should be taken into account, namely, where the infection occurred (distance from the brain), how and at what dose the virus entered the body, what size the infected animal was.
If the victim is an adult man and has a bite on the leg, of course, the time for symptoms to appear will be much longer than if the patient is a small child and the face is damaged (the bite is on the face).
Symptoms of rabies in the human body
The initial symptoms of rabies are similar to those of a cold/flu, such as fever, headache, general weakness, and more.
As the disease progresses, the patient exhibits unusual behavior, hallucinations, delirium (a person sees something that others cannot see), is confused and cannot perceive the environment adequately.
Hydrophobia (fear of water) appears. As the swallowing muscles are paralyzed, the patient foams at the mouth.
Signs of rabies in animals
The first sign of rabies is a change in behavior - for example, once aggressive suddenly becomes calm and tame or vice versa.
Due to partial or complete paralysis, the dog barks unusually, the animal attacks rotten, lifeless things.
The animal is afraid of water, you will notice foam on the mouth.
