Look at the nails.
The nail is healthy when its surface is smooth and homogeneous
Small, insignificant changes are not always a sign of a pathological process, and it is quite possible to develop against the background of age or hand injury, however, in some clinical cases, changes on the surface of the nail indicate some disease in the body.
Be sure to consult a doctor if you notice the following:
- Black or white lines, stripes on the nail;
- The natural color of the nail has changed;
- The shape of the nail has changed;
- The nail structure seems thickened or thinned;
- Unusual brittleness;
- Bleeding around the nail;
- Swelling and redness around the nail;
- Pain around the nail;
- The nail escaped the skin.
