What does dopplerography mean?
It is a non-invasive research method used to evaluate blood flow in blood vessels.
The following pathologies can be diagnosed using the Doppler method:
- Blood clotting;
- Venous insufficiency;
- Heart valve defect or congenital heart disease;
- Occlusion of arteries;
- Peripheral artery disease;
- Aneurysm;
- Carotid artery stenosis.
With ultrasound dopplerography, it is possible to evaluate the structure of the trunk blood vessels and determine the direction or speed of blood flow in it.
With this method, the change in blood flow is revealed, the presence of vascular anomalies and atherosclerotic plaques in the body is determined, the degree of damage to the blood vessel, the efficiency of collateral blood circulation is assessed.
