Why echocardiogram is prescribed?
Echocardiogram assesses the health of the heart.
With the mentioned research method, the doctor checks the heartbeat, how the blood is supplied to the organ, identifies heart diseases.
An echocardiogram is provided to:

- Is the shortness of breath or chest pain caused by a heart problem;
- Detect congenital heart defects (fetal monitoring).
After the study, most people return to their normal daytime routine. If the response of the echocardiogram is normal, additional studies are no longer necessary, however, if the result is doubtful, depending on the specific clinical case, the cardiologist will take the appropriate measure, that is, he will conduct other tests.
Information from an echocardiogram may show:
- Changes in heart size.
- Pumping strength.
- Heart muscle damage.
