Pain in the neck.
Neck tension refers to neck pain that develops when the muscles in the neck cannot relax, which can lead to soreness, muscle spasms, and headaches.
It has numerous possible causes, ranging from joint problems to inflamed nerves.
Research suggests that as many as 71% of adults around the world will experience neck pain at some point in their lifetime.
Common causes:
- Poor posture
- Sleeping in the wrong position
- Repetitive neck movements
- Teeth grinding
- Injuries
- Stress
Stretching of the neck muscles causes discomfort, reduced quality of life.
The following signs appear due to the pathological process:
- Weak, somewhat explosive pain in the neck;
- May be manifested by severe pain;
- Discomfort is aggravated by movement;
- Muscle spasm;
- Neck firing.
Neck pain that has developed due to an injury, a car accident, is noticeable and the patient should be placed in a clinic immediately - self-medication is not allowed, the condition should be managed and evaluated by a doctor.
Stretching due to awkward movement is usually not dangerous and in a large percentage of clinical cases the condition improves within a few days.
