Acid reflux - treatment at home

If your diagnosis is acid reflux.

The discomfort inherent in acid reflux is greatly alleviated by lifestyle changes.

It is recommended to:

  •  Maintain a healthy weight and in case of obesity, lose as much extra weight as possible;
  •  Quit smoking;
  •  You are likely to suffer from heartburn while sleeping. The bed head should be elevated so that the symptoms do not bother you;
  •  Do not go to bed immediately after eating. Sleep is recommended 3-4 hours after the last meal;
  •  Chew food well;
  •  Eat slowly, quietly;
  •  Avoid drinks and foods that cause acid reflux. Remove from the ration: tomato sauce, alcohol, chocolate, caffeine, mint, garlic, onion;
  •  Do not wear clothing that fits snugly around the waist.
