Treat muscle pain at home - you no longer need to see a doctor

People often complain of muscle pain.

The pain may be mild or severe, you may feel discomfort in one specific area of the body, or the pain may affect the entire body.

Muscle pain usually resolves on its own and in a small amount of time, but in some clinical cases it can last for months.

Most often muscle pain is caused by stretching, stress, excessive physical exertion or minor injury, while systemic muscle pain is caused by infection, disease, or a side effect of medication.

Treatment at home

Please note that the methods presented in this article are for clinical cases where muscle pain is caused by exercise or stress.

Self-medication is not allowed and you should definitely call an ambulance for muscle pain together with:

  • Shortness of breath or dizziness;
  • Severe muscle weakness;
  • Fever and redness of the neck.

For home treatment it is provided to:

  • Refrain from physical activity, relax;
  • Apply ice to the sore spot several times a day for 20 minutes;
  • Wrap the painful area with a bandage to reduce swelling;
  • Raise your legs to reduce swelling;
  • Drink painkillers;
  • Exercise is not allowed until the muscle pain subsides;
  • Do yoga or other stress-relieving activities to relieve tension;
  • You may feel relieved if you lightly massage the stretched muscle area;
  • Relaxing stretches / stretches are useful.
