Dizziness - What do you need to know about the underlying cause?

Dizziness is common symptom.

About 30% of people over 65 experience dizziness.

People experiencing dizziness may describe it as any of a number of sensations, such as:

  • Unsteadiness or a loss of balance
  • A feeling of floating, wooziness or heavy-headedness

This condition is often temporary and goes away without treatment.

Explain to your doctor exactly what you are complaining about, that is, focus on a specific symptom, such as how you feel about the dizziness before and after the complaint, how often, for what reason, how often, and how long you have been complaining.
