At the initiative and under the organization of the Health and Tourism International Center (HTI Center), an official visit to Georgia by representatives of five major German hospital groups is being planned.
Thanks to our organization’s efforts, an important step has been taken toward establishing a strategic partnership between the two countries in the healthcare sector.
The management teams of several renowned German healthcare institutions are expected to visit Tbilisi for several working days, including:
· University Hospital Heidelberg (UK Heidelberg)
· University Hospital Dresden (UK Dresden)
· Schoen Clinic Group
· Helios Hospital Group
· Medical Park Hospital Group
This visit represents an important initiative aimed at developing long-term, systematic, and multifaceted cooperation between Georgia and Germany in the healthcare sector.
The initiative’s primary goal is to establish a foundation for international partnerships that will support the professional development of Georgia’s medical sector, facilitate the exchange of international expertise, strengthen scientific cooperation, and expand patients’ access to high-quality medical care.
Key Areas of Cooperation
The planned collaboration will focus on several strategic areas:
· Medical education and professional development — creating opportunities for Georgian doctors and healthcare professionals to undertake internships, participate in specialized training, and engage in professional exchange programs at German hospitals.
· Scientific and academic partnerships — establishing joint research projects, scientific conferences, international symposia, and platforms for professional knowledge exchange.
· Institutional cooperation between healthcare providers — building long-term partnerships between Georgian and German hospitals and facilitating the exchange of modern medical practices and innovative approaches.
· Patient-centered international cooperation — jointly reviewing complex clinical cases, organizing international multidisciplinary consultations, facilitating access to second medical opinions, and developing opportunities for highly specialized treatment in Germany when needed.
· International medical projects — planning joint educational and clinical initiatives while supporting visits by German specialists to Georgia and encouraging professional collaboration.
This initiative extends beyond cooperation between individual hospitals. Its long-term vision is to establish sustainable professional ties between the healthcare systems of Georgia and Germany and strengthen Georgia’s position in the international medical community.
The Health and Tourism International Center (HTI Center), with its extensive experience in medical tourism and international medical cooperation, is taking the initiative and coordinating this process.
We believe that the true value of international medical cooperation is measured not only by the agreements signed, but also by the knowledge, expertise, and new opportunities that these partnerships bring to Georgian doctors, hospitals, and patients.
