What is vasculogenic erectile dysfunction?
Erectile dysfunction (impotence) is divided into two categories: organic and psychogenic.
The causes of organic impotence are divided into the following types: vasculogenic, neurogenic, hormonal.
Statistically, vasculogenic erectile dysfunction is the most common. The cause of vasculogenic impotence is that the arteries and veins that pump blood to and from the penis do not function properly due to blockage, narrowing, or psychological reasons.
Symptoms of vasculogenic erectile dysfunction include:

- A man is unable to maintain an erection for sexual intercourse;
- A decreased desire for intimate intercourse.
The main cause of arterial erectile dysfunction is any disease that narrows or blocks the blood vessels.
Risk factors include:
- Peripheral arterial disease;
- Coronary artery disease;
- High blood pressure;
- High cholesterol;
- Diabetes;
- Being overweight;
- Anxiety and stress;
- Neurological disorders.
