Anorexia Nervosa

Anorexia Nervosa

What is Anorexia Nervosa?

Anorexia Nervosa is an eating disorder - the patient feels fat, but in reality is thinner than recommended. This is a constant fear of gaining weight and the impact is so strong that the person is almost on the verge of starvation, pathologically checks their weight and inadequately controls calories.

Anorexia Nervosa is no joke and if treatment is not started in time, a fatal outcome can occur, because the body cannot withstand a deficiency of nutrients for a long time, the risk of heart disease is high. Unfortunately, in the acute phase, patients who are irritated by their appearance even go so far as to self-harm.

Keep in mind that due to changes in the brain, anorexia becomes a disease and is no longer just a personal choice, for example, what to eat or whether you like how you look.

The main thing is not to give up and consult a doctor in time - modern medicine can help you! A number of methods have been developed that will neutralize the mental and physical problems provoked by anorexia, form a balanced eating habit, and return you to a healthy weight!

The following symptoms are characteristic of anorexia nervosa:

  • Irregular heart rhythm;
  • Low blood pressure;
  • Dehydration;
  • Blue-tinged fingers;
  • Yellowing of the skin;
  • Hair becomes so thin that it falls out at a very high frequency;
  • The patient loses an extremely large amount of weight;
  • Severe weakness and fatigue;
  • Dizziness or loss of consciousness;
  • Abdominal pain and constipation;
  • Feeling cold even when others feel well and the air or room temperature is normal;
  • Swelling of the extremities;
  • When food is taken away, you artificially stir your heart;
  • You have become so accustomed to eating that you no longer feel hungry;
  • You throw up even a small portion;
  • You have decreased concentration;
  • Constantly negative emotions and bad mood;
  • Severe anxiety;
  • Stress fractures of bones;
  • Loss of bone mass;
  • Irregular, irregular menstruation;
  • You eat only foods that have a small amount of fat and calories.

Unfortunately, anorexia nervosa is widespread, and every day many people are added to the category that deliberately diet in order to lose weight, which is almost equivalent to starvation.

Neither modern Western culture nor social media tolerates a healthy weight - excessive thinness has become a trend in almost every direction.
