Septoplasty - Surgery to Treat a Deviated Nasal Septum

What is septoplasty?

Septoplasty is a surgical procedure on the nose - it is performed to treat a deviated septum, to correct the deformity.

A deviated septum is a common complaint; due to this diagnosis, patients often have difficulty breathing through their nose. Septoplasty is recommended in clinical cases when a deviated septum causes a significant decrease in quality of life, difficulty breathing, and frequent bleeding.

Within 3-6 months after the operation, the nasal tissue becomes stable, although over time, the cartilage is expected to change shape.

Many patients confirm that septoplasty has improved their condition and eliminated breathing problems. However, each person's body is individual, therefore, the result of the operation in one clinical case may be perfect and may not have the same effect on another patient.
