What type of muscle weakness should you watch out for and when should you call an ambulance?

Muscle weakness is a symptom of many conditions.

You should definitely consult a doctor if muscle weakness does not improve or your general health has worsened. In some clinical cases, muscle weakness is a sign of a serious illness.

Call an ambulance or go to the emergency department of the nearest clinic yourself if you notice the following symptoms:

  • Sudden muscle weakness;
  • Sudden numbness;
  • You suddenly cannot move your limbs, you have difficulty walking or standing;
  • You suddenly cannot smile or express any emotions on your face;
  • Sudden confusion, you have difficulty speaking, you do not understand what is being said to you;
  • Chest muscle weakness, causing difficulty breathing;
