What is cryolipolysis?
Cryolipolysis is a non-surgical procedure that aims to break down fat in various areas of the body by freezing it. Low, cold temperatures are used to break down fat cells.
Cryolipolysis is very popular in plastic surgery, with more than 450,000 procedures performed worldwide.
Patients are interested in this method when fat is localized in a certain area of the body and has not been able to reduce it with diet and exercise.
Cryolipolysis cannot be performed on people who have conditions related to cold. According to plastic surgeons, this procedure cannot be performed on patients who have loose skin (folds, sagging skin).
The procedure is performed without anesthesia.
Although it is rare, some people experience pain after cryolipolysis - report any discomfort to your plastic surgeon, who will prescribe appropriate medication for a few days.
