Hot shower or steam and dizziness.
Heat affects people in different ways. Light heat is useful, but excessive heat is dangerous, especially when certain diseases are already fixed in the anamnesis.
People with heart and neurological pathologies, as well as diseases characteristic of circulatory disorders, may experience dizziness and other symptoms if they take a shower in hot water. A feeling of heart failure while taking a hot shower can overtake you even when you consider yourself to be practically healthy. That is why it is recommended to adjust the temperature of the water, take a shower in the safest possible environment and minimize the risk of falling due to dizziness, and therefore, fracture or other physical injury.
For safety we recommend:
- Drink water before taking a shower;
- Wash with lukewarm water;
- Have a chair in the bathroom and rest as soon as you feel dizzy;
- Equip the toilet with a non-slip mat for the bathroom;
- Open a window or door while showering.
