What is cryotherapy?
Cryotherapy is a method of treatment during which they freeze against the background of extreme cold and remove the pathological tissue from the body. Recommended for skin diseases and some types of cancer.
To get extreme cold, the doctor uses the appropriate medical, healing substance. Cryotherapy can be performed both on the skin and directly on the body (pathological tissue is removed both subcutaneously and on the skin, depending on the clinical case).
Due to various pathologies, the tissue may become diseased or damaged, therefore, it is no longer useful for the body, and cryotherapy is recommended in such cases. As a rule, it is carried out without open surgical intervention - after the procedure, most patients get better quickly and only suffer from mild pain.
Cryotherapy is recommended for the following conditions:
- Bone cancer;
- Cervical, liver or prostate cancer;
- Precancerous cells in the cervix;
- Precancerous skin conditions and early stage skin cancer;
- Retinoblastoma;
- Warts;
- Skin growths;
- Dark spots
