Chemical peeling

Chemical peeling

What is a chemical peel?

Chemical peeling is a cosmetic procedure, during which the deep or middle layer of the skin is affected by different types of chemical substances (mainly organic acids).

As a result of the procedure, dead skin cells are evenly exfoliated - peeling promotes the skin regeneration process.

The result of chemical peeling is:

  • Wrinkles and mimic lines are reduced;
  • Acne scars become discolored;
  • Designed to improve uneven skin tone;
  • Different types of defects on the skin are corrected.

As a rule, the procedure is performed on the face, neck and hands.

Chemical peeling reduces or improves:

  • Lines around the mouth and eyes, as well as wrinkles (caused by the sun or age);
  • Some types of acne;
  • Light scars;
  • Sun, age or liver spots;
  • Freckles;
  • Melasma;
  • Actinic keratosis and others.

Chemical peeling is not recommended in the following clinical cases:

  • Pathological skin scars in the anamnesis;
  • There are many colors on the scars;
  • Skin disease in history;
  • You are taking a medication that may increase your skin sensitivity (a side effect of the medication);
  • After chemical peeling, during the rehabilitation process, you cannot avoid the sun.
