Body reflex

What do you need to know about reflex?

A reflex is an involuntary reaction of the body to various stimuli. It protects the body from danger and maintains homeostasis.

A reflex is an automatic reaction that the body produces when it wants to respond to a specific stimulus. Some reflexes belong to muscles and movement, and sometimes they are involved in internal processes.

Somatic reflexes involve the somatic nervous system, which is related to skin, muscle, and limb movement.

The autonomic reflex involves the autonomic nervous system, which is associated with internal processes (eg, digestion). Many types of autonomic reflexes function in a complex manner. The autonomic reflex is related to the internal environment of the body and reacts to such changes as heat, cold, food intake, stress and others.

An overactive or weak reflex is a sign of pathology and requires consultation with a doctor.
