Some centuries ago, several housewives decided to decorate their homes.
Originally these were simple ornaments that over time became more refined, complicated, and the color palette also became more diverse.
The paintings moved from the interior or exterior of a private property to an agricultural building - volunteers even painted a bridge over the river with beautiful flowers.
About 50 cottages are painted in the village. You will also find beautiful paintings on chicken coops, fences, draw-wells.
Felicia Kurilova’s house-museum is very popular in Zalipie. She was a Polish artist who made a great contribution to the development and popularization of this style of painting.
The tradition, which today attracts and entertains the viewer, was transmitted from generation to generation, and the image will be added to the picture. The source of inspiration has always been nature and local folklore.
